Query Letter Writing Workshop

Sometimes it’s that blasted query letter that keeps us from moving forward on our quest to secure an agent or editor. Join FLARE as we demystify the process with help from literary agents Dawn Dowdle, Laura Stone, and Carol Woien from Blue Ridge Literary Agency.

Dawn, Laura, and Carol will critique four query letters and explain what catches their attention, what turns them off, and give suggestions on what to add or remove. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a basic template of their suggestions for crafting an eye-catching query letter. There will be a question and answer period at the end.
